Kristin Taylor is a physiotherapist and health care leader, currently in the role of Manager for Pediatric Perioperative Services at IWK Health in Halifax, NS. After joining IWK Health in 2004, Kristin worked as a physiotherapist with several teams in the Children’s Health Program before taking on the role of Professional Practice Leader for Physiotherapy in 2015. In 2018 she became Manager for the Ambulatory Surgical Clinic portfolio and transitioned to Perioperative Services in 2021. Kristin has been an active contributor to physiotherapy regulation and professional associations since 2003, serving as, Treasurer, Board President and Past-President of the Nova Scotia Physiotherapy Association spanning 7 years, and 4 years as Treasurer of the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists. Kristin served as a member and subsequent Board Chair for the Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulator’s (CAPR) Board of Examiners from 2015 – 2021, and as a member of CAPR’s Board of Directors since 2021. She is currently the Treasurer of the CAPR Board, and chair of the organization’s Finance and Audit Committee. She lives in Dartmouth, NS with her husband, two teenage boys, and the best pup ever – Charlie.
