Sarah Keeping (RN, MN, PhD Student) is a registered nurse and doctoral student in the PhD in Nursing program at Dalhousie University under the co-supervision of Dr’s. Janet Curran and Audrey Steenbeek. Sarah’s nursing background at the IWK Health Centre is in pediatric oncology, hematology, and nephrology. She also has experience as a school-health partnership nurse and an oncofertility navigator with Atlantic Provinces Pediatric Hematology Oncology Network (APPHON), and is engaged in various research projects. Sarah’s doctoral research will use a mixed-methods approach to examine the implementation of school-based nursing care for children with chronic and/or complex medical needs in Nova Scotia.
