Making Waves with RIPPL: Resources for Interdisciplinary Pediatric Practice and Learning

RIPPL: Resources for Interdisciplinary Pediatric Practice and Learning is a self-directed, interactive learning platform designed to bridge gaps in pediatric-focused education for generalist clinicians working in non-tertiary settings across British Columbia. Built on a validated competency framework, RIPPL provides free, flexible, and accessible competency assessments, education resources, and the ability to create personalized learning plans.

Developed through interdisciplinary collaboration, all resources are carefully vetted for relevance and accuracy within the Canadian context. RIPPL also integrates principles of equity and reconciliation, addressing Indigenous-specific racism and systemic barriers in healthcare to foster more inclusive and culturally safe care.

Since its launch in September 2024, approximately 1,000 providers have engaged with RIPPL, with ongoing data collection and user feedback driving continuous improvement and expansion.
