Dr. Allison Kennedy has worked as a psychologist, clinical leader and researcher at CHEO for more than 25 years with a focus on adolescent mental health. Dr. Kennedy completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Waterloo in 1995. She is currently Clinical Lead for Emergency Mental Health Services, a 72-hour mental health inpatient unit and a mental health aftercare service. She has been involved in the design and implementation of many innovative clinical services, crisis protocols and clinical tools in hospital and community. An Investigator with the CHEO Research Institute, Dr. Kennedy is Co-Principal Investigator for a study (BRAVA) involving the development and evaluation of a brief group treatment for adolescents who experience suicidal thoughts.
