Jenna Yaraskavitch, MSc, R.Kin., is an Exercise Specialist within the department of Develpomental and Rehabilitation at CHEO. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Queen’s University in 2015 and furthered her education with a Master of Human Kinetics (MHK) in Intervention and Consultation from the University of Ottawa. For the past 8 years, Jenna has worked with Dr. Pat Longmuir’s research team, focusing on physical activity promotion, behavior change, and conducting physical activity assessments and interventions. In her current role as an Exercise Specialist, Jenna’s goal is to design and facilitate both individualized and group-based programs aimed at enhancing physical literacy and supporting active lifestyles for patients and families. Jenna offers physical activity counselling, designs and delivers group teaching sessions, and supports patients as they transition back into community activities. Additionally, she mentors and supervises kinesiology trainees, helping to develop their skills in leading physical activity sessions for patients. She is committed to promoting healthy, active lifestyles and continuously strives to inspire others to stay active and healthy.
