Dr. Linda Nguyen is an Azrieli Accelerator Assistant Professor in Youth, Sibling, and Community Engaged Research in the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Calgary. She completed her graduate studies in the School of Rehabilitation Science at McMaster University and CanChild Centre for Childhood-onset Disability, an internship in The Netherlands, and her postdoctoral fellowship in the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy at McGill University.
Her program of research focuses on three key pillars to: 1. Co-develop supports with and for young adult siblings of individuals with a disability; 2. Build training capacity to engage youth with disabilities and health conditions in research; and 3. Mobilize research into health policy and practice. Throughout her research, she engages with different interest groups including youth with disabilities, siblings, families, research networks, and community organizations nationally and internationally.
