Nadia Tanel holds a BA in Psychology from Western University, a MEd in Educational Psychology from the University of Alberta and a Masters Certificate in Healthcare Management from the Schulich School of Business. Nadia has over 15 years of experience in research and clinical administration and leadership. Nadia is a psychometrist by training and spent the early part of her career supporting and contributing to clinical trials in autism research. Nadia is passionate about operational, strategic and system level change, and has held a number of leadership roles supporting and leading major, organization wide strategic initiatives and priorities. Most recently, Nadia lead a large capital project within the Bloorview Research Institute, including a 17,000 sqft renovation and 11,000 sqft addition of applied clinical research space, a fully accessible playground and Canada’s first child friendly and full accessible MRI suite. She also led the development of our latest strategic plan, HB2030 and is now responsible for leading the communication, public engagement and strategy teams to systematically implement and monitor and measure our strategic priorities.
Nadia is dedicated to improving current processes and maximizing the impact of childhood disability research and the care we provide. Her work and passion for strategy and operations is driven by her unwavering belief that every client and family has the right to participate in, contribute to and benefit from the ground breaking research and care.
