Amanda embarked her journey at Health Sciences Centre as a dietary aide and progressed into other roles such as a central support staff scheduler and unit assistant, while she completed her nursing degree. Upon completion of her Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Manitoba, Amanda worked in various nursing positions in pediatrics, bed utilization, and leadership roles at HSC, and later completed her Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2021. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Amanda was appointed to different Hospital Incident Command (HICS) roles, including Deputy Operations Chief, Operations Chief, and Planning Chief.
Valuing mentorship, Amanda fosters a collaborative environment among interdisciplinary teams, firmly believing in the power of teamwork for optimal patient outcomes. Her passion for collaboration extends to advocacy, where she actively works towards positive changes within healthcare. Committed to empowering the next generation of leaders, Amanda sees mentorship as the cornerstone of development.
In addition to her human-centric approach, Amanda embraces innovation and technology as tools to enhance patient care.
